Clovelly Wood Turning is based on the historic Clovelly Estate in North Devon, where skilled craftspeople create a range of wooden items using locally sourced timber.
The bird feeders available at Spudulica are made from ash wood that comes exclusively from fallen trees on the estate. Rather than using newly harvested timber, this approach gives new life to naturally fallen wood, making each feeder both sustainable and full of character.
Every piece is individually turned on a lathe, meaning no two feeders are exactly the same. The grain patterns, colour tones and natural details of the wood make each feeder a one-of-a-kind addition to your garden.

Medium Bird Feeder

Large Bird Feeder

The larger feeder offers more space for seed and works well in bigger gardens or wildlife-friendly spaces where multiple birds may feed at once.
Both sizes are designed with a feeding gap of around 3.5–5cm, ideal for smaller garden birds such as robins, tits and finches.

Each feeder is finished with several coats of Tung oil. This natural oil finish is weather resistant and food safe for birds, helping protect the wood while keeping the feeder safe for wildlife.
